The Minsk region plans to increase the harvesting of grassy forages 1.5 times

Friday, 26 May 2017

The volume of harvesting herbaceous forage in the Minsk region in 2017 is planned to increase by almost 1.5 times compared to last year, BelTA learned from Yulia Skladanovskaya, deputy head of the Agriculture and Plant Production Department of the Agriculture and Food Supply Committee of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

"In general, it is planned to procure 225,000 tons of hay, 3.4 million tons of hay and 3.9 million tons of silage, including 453,000 tons of herbaceous forage in polymeric materials, almost 1.5 times more , Than in the previous year, on the average, on the basis of the conventional head of cattle, it is planned to procure 31.5 centners of fodder units, for the winter stall period - 27 centners, "noted Yulia Skladanovskaya.

In early spring, the agrarians fed the herbs with mineral fertilizers, then sowing annual grasses. The first cut in the Minsk region meadow and perennial grasses will be mowed on an area of more than 275 thousand hectares, and the planned volume of harvesting will exceed 2.2 million tons. The mowing of cereals is already over. Soon the harvesting of leguminous grass will begin. The main rate in the preparation of feed is made on protein-rich legume-cereal mixtures. The farming enterprises are provided with the necessary equipment for the fodder harvesting campaign.

According to Yuliya Skladanovskaya, the first grass-grass mussel from the beginning of the optimal phase should be produced within 10 days, but in different regions of the region it falls on different dates. If this condition is not met, the plants begin to quickly lose nutrients that are important for feed purposes: a hardwood stand that has survived does not allow you to count on good milk yields and weight gain. In this regard, the technology of harvesting grassy forages is tightly controlled. Primary attention is paid to the quality of fodder harvesting. Controlling compliance with the timing of the storage of feed for storage, the density of ramming, temperature and other indicators.

The representative of the regional agro-industrial complex also touched upon the topic of sowing potatoes. Agrarians of the central region planted this crop on an area of 7.5 thousand hectares, exceeding the originally planned volume of planting by 7%.
