Friday, 16 November 2018

The results of the competition “The Toutest Gaspadarka”, where the knitted and embroidered products of businesswomen from the districts of the Minsk region were presented, were summed up today in the business incubator “MAP ZAO”, BelTA.

Grand Prix was awarded to the creator of the Venetian Carnival doll. The winner spent three months to make it.

In total, 22 works were submitted for the competition, 10 of them were marked with various awards. Contestants demonstrated the skill of hand embroidery, crochet and knitting, sewing on a sewing machine. In these areas, they were trained at the Academy for the Revitalization of Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas, organized by a business incubator with the support of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. 76 women took part in the project, mainly representing the capital region.

"Our goal is to acquaint people with the possibilities of self-employment and craft activities, to help take the first step towards entrepreneurship. During the classes, we not only taught sewing and knitting, but also introduced the features of the legislation, the possibilities of state support, including Decree No. 7 “On the Development of Entrepreneurship.” Judging by the results, the document greatly simplified the mechanisms of doing business and pushed people to do what they love, ”said the head of the incubator’s directorate Marina Naidovich.

The workshop "The Tutayshaya Gaspadka" opened on the basis of an incubator in December 2017. This is a social project aimed at developing creative abilities and creating your own business. People over 18 can participate in it, regardless of occupation and education. In May of this year, on the basis of the workshop, the Academy of Activation of Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas was created with the support of the local fund for sustainable development "Innovations for Regions" and the Podlaska Fund for Regional Development.
