festivities in honor of the patronal feast of the Mother of God Budslav passed Budslau (Miadzieł district) on July 4-5. Main worship service held on July 5, Apostolic Nuncio in Belarus (Vatican ambassador) Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti reported in the ideology department of culture and youth affairs Myadel executive committee.
The worship service was attended by Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz and other clergymen, representatives of government, as well as diplomats.
Budslavskaya icon of the Mother of God - one of the most revered in the Catholic Church and is famous for many miracles. Every year pilgrims flock to it from different parts of Belarus and abroad. In 2013 Budsłaŭ took more than 40 thousand faithful from Belarus, CIS, EU.
This year's celebrations were held under the motto Budslau "Maria - a model prayer." One feature of the celebration was the arrival of the Cross World Youth Day. Before this cross and icon of Our Lady of World Youth Day made a trip together with the pilgrims on foot.
