National velomnogodnevki involving seven Belarusian teams (from all regions and the city of Minsk) was launched on 6 August. The total length of the route Brest Pruzany-Birch-Baranovichi was 743 km. According to the chief judge of the competition, the speed of the race was quite high - more than 43 km / h. Of starters in Brest 54 athletes in Baranavichi finished 48 riders.
Most of those out of the race had to do it because of lack of technical expertise, said Nikolai Hevuk. For health of the competition was eliminated, only one athlete. And not because of the falls, which could not have done without, but because of health. "The heat was unbearable. As it stood riders, can not imagine. Especially because the stages were pretty long run - by 150-160 km. Given the difficult conditions, I believe that we have come to the finish line with minimal losses" - summed Nicholas Hevuk.
In obschekomandom competition 2nd place was won by the athletes of the Vitebsk region, bronze went to the team of the Gomel region. The hosts of the competition, the team of the Brest region, on the 4th place.
