New housing for the needy in the Minsk region in January-June 2014 increased by 49% to 423.6 thousand square meters. According to Sergei Troussov the end of August will be achieved almost all indicators of housing construction, the implementation of which was planned in January-September.

Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Semyon Shapiro instructed to check the terms of construction, which are now being built in the area, if necessary, to recruit additional stroyorganizatsii. Semyon Shapiro also drew attention to the cost of new housing. "In some cases, the price per square meter is overstated. This problem should be solved, people are waiting for this," - he stressed.
Assessing the results of socio-economic development of the region as a whole, Semyon Shapiro noted that the region has reached a good indicator. Thus, in the first half gross regional product at current prices Br47,8 trillion, an increase compared to the same period in 2013 by 2.9%. Foreign trade turnover in the whole region in January-June amounted to $ 6 552.6 million, or 101.5% over the same period of 2013. The positive balance of foreign trade amounted to $ 1 038 800 000. However, Semyon Shapiro urged to focus on the development of agriculture. In the first half of agricultural production in all categories of farms in comparable prices made up 94.1% over the same period of 2013.
