International Theatre Festival-batleek plan to spend in 2015 in a restored manor Michael Cleophas Oginski Zalessie in Smorgon district, BelTA learned from the executive committee.
The decision to hold the festival made during a round table organized in Zalessie local charity "Northern Athens", which discussed the possibility of preservation and development of the unique traditions of the Belarusian theater batleek. It was attended by representatives batleek operating in the Grodno region, employees of cultural institutions, representatives of local authorities.
The festival will be held in Zalessie in March 2015 in the anniversary year of the 250th anniversary of the famous public and cultural figures, composer Michael Cleophas Oginski, as well as to coincide with the International Day of puppet theaters. It will invite theater groups from Belarus, Poland, Lithuania. This event will highlight the conservation and development batleechnyh theaters, stimulates the creation of conditions for their activities and creative self residents of all ages, according to the initiators of the event.
The festival will be the culminating event of the project "original traditions to improve the quality of life in rural areas", which is implemented by the charitable foundation "Athens of the North", in partnership with Smorgon District Executive Committee. The project is planned as master classes, teaching creative groups batleechnikov, creating new performance Zalessk "Batlejka" on local materials and purchase it for the sound equipment, decorations, dolls, production of souvenirs.
A few decades ago in Smorgon planned to create a museum dedicated to this type of identity of the Belarusian People's Theatre. The idea is not implemented, but in the regional museum exhibition were acquired boxes and dolls. In the early 90's theater Batleyka in the region revived since folk theater "Batlejka" Zaleski home culture conquered Belarusian and foreign spectators, performed in Russia and Poland, Lithuania, Estonia. Today performances "Batlejka" included in the tourist route, which passes through Zalessie.
Fund "Athens of the North" was created in 2010 to revive the estate of Michael Oginski, regain its former importance of the cultural center of the village Zalessie. Founders Fund are Smorgon historical museum, Molodechno musical college named M.K.Oginskogo, PA "Minsk Capital Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers".
