The first in Belarus Maxim Tank monument will open on December 5 in Myadel. BelTA reported Head of ideology, culture and youth affairs Myadel executive committee Irina Pozniak.
Sculpture appears in the square Sharangovich. As said Irina Pozniak, a bronze figure of the poet in the full-length will be set on a granite pedestal height of one meter. Not far from her house a boulder with a cartouche in the form of an open book, which will be knocked out lines from a poem Maxim Tank "Ёsts Adna pesnyaў song - great Radzіmu." The monument was erected by sculptor Ivan Misko and Alexander and the Finnish architect Armen Sardarova. Competition to create conceptual designs of the monument was declared in 2012 for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet.
On the same day, members of the Writers' Union of Belarus, representatives of the authorities, the fans of the poet to visit the grave of Maxim Tank in the village Novikov, offers further acquaintance with an exhibition devoted to the life and work of the poet, in Guo "Svatkovsky high school named after Maxim Tank".
