Among the priorities are the prospects of setting up in Belarus joint companies with the Polish capital to produce medications, chemical weed and pest killers, veterinary preparations, since both Belarus an Poland have a great deal of experience in these fields. Mikhail Myasnikovich made proposals to coordinate action under the Belt and Road project and resume the activity of the commission on cooperation in energy. The proposals were supported.
Of particular interest are joint initiatives for the mutual recognition of certificates of goods produced by companies of the two countries.
The parties also agreed to hold a youth forum in September-October 2019 and consider start-ups of students and young businessmen. Poland expressed interest in the development of transport infrastructure in Poland in the Brest and Bialystok directions, as the Belarusian thoroughfares are of high quality and carrying capacity.
The chairman of the Council of the Republic met with President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Jerzy Duszynski. Mikhail Myasnikovich proposed to organize a forum of ideas under the aegis of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Polish Academy of Sciences. The parties talked over the prospects of strengthening sci-tech cooperation, including between the academies of sciences of Belarus and Poland, interaction between scientists of the two countries in matters related to Belovezhskaya Pushcha and measures to fight African swine fever.
An agreement was reached to work out joint scientific projects with the financial support of the European Union. The Polih Academy of Sciences gave consent on compiling applications on Belarus-Polish projects.
