В рамках мероприятий, посвященных дню Конституции Республики Беларусь в Воложине прошел открытый республиканский турнир по мини- футболу среди мальчиков. Организаторами этого турнира уже четвертый год подряд являются детская юношеская спортивная школа и Воложинская районная организация РОО «Белая Русь».
На базе физкультурно-оздоровительного центра собрались 7 команд из Гродненской и Минской областей.
Такие турниры очень важны для игроков команд. Прежде всего, это повышение уровня спортивной подготовленности игроков. А также такие встречи позволяют игрокам отработать свое мастерство с соперниками.
Игры были интересными, азартными. Все команды показали хорошую спортивную подготовку несмотря на то, что долго не было таких встреч из-за пандемии.
В итоге напряженной борьбы первое место заняла команда из Воложина ( тренер Александр Петрович Ковязо).
Второе и третье места разделили команды из Молодечно и из Сморгони.
Лучшим игрокам команд вручили подарки от «Белой Руси». Это Степан Чешик и Синюкович Ярослав из Логойска, Лазарь Алексей и Мисевич Артем из Сморгони, Сонич Владислав из Молодечно, Абрамович Егор из Воложина.
ZHLOBIN, 18 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian steel mill BMZ is busy increasing export shipments. The matter was discussed as Member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agribusiness Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Artak Kamalyan visited the enterprise, BelTA has learned.
The official was made familiar with the operation of the steel mill, visited the electric-furnace melting shop and the long-product rolling mill where products for consumers from the Eurasian Economic Union are made among other things. The provision of the enterprise with main raw materials was discussed during the meeting with the BMZ management.
BMZ representatives noted that as far as members of the Eurasian Economic Union are concerned, BMZ actively cooperates with companies from the Russian Federation. Russia is an important supplier of the main raw materials and one of the largest consumers of Belarusian metal products. BMZ's export to Russia exceeded 58,000 tonnes in January-February 2021, 8% up from January-February 2020. In monetary terms export to the Russian Federation exceeded $43 million, one third up from the same period of last year. Sales of reinforcing bars, rolled structurals, steel wire, and metal cord are on the rise.
According to the latest data, in January-February 2021 BMZ exported roughly $200 million worth of merchandise to 41 countries. The growth rate exceeded 106% as against January-February 2020.
The Eurasian Economic Commission representative also intends to visit the Minsk-based tractor factory MTZ, the car manufacturer BelGee, and the haul truck manufacturer BelAZ.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) BMZ, the Management Company of the holding company Belarusian Metallurgical Company (BMC), is a high-tech Belarusian metallurgical enterprise. It comprises infrastructure shops and four manufacturing divisions connected by one technological chain. The divisions focus on steel smelting, mill products, pipe products, hardware items. BMZ exports more than 80% of its output every year. The company employs over 11,500 people. It is a compact plant of the European level.
MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are carrying out the international technical assistance project “Strengthening scientific and educational capacities of the Republic of Belarus in the field of demographic data collection, analysis, and use for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”, BelTA learned from the ministry.
The project is aimed at improving the country's capacities in education and research in demographics, monitoring the implementation of the existing documents and programs and development of new ones on population and demographic issues. It shall be implemented in furtherance of the project “Supporting the implementation of the national program of demographic security of the Republic of Belarus” for 2015-2017, which was also carried out by the Labor and Social Security Ministry in association with the UNFPA and with Russia's support.
The Russian government will be the main sponsor of the project. The project budget equals $972,590. The project is meant to strengthen partner relations between the government agencies, scientific organizations, and experts in Belarus, Russia, and other countries.
“The main goal is to ensure that government agencies, scientific and educational institutions efficiently use official statistics and demographic research in developing and implementing the state demographic policy. One of the key activities of the project is to conduct the second Generations and Gender survey. The results of the survey will be used for drawing up and implementing strategic and framework documents. The first survey was conducted in 2017. The second one will rely on international expertise, using the recommended questionnaire and specific rules regarding the sample frame. The second survey will also take into account the experience of data analysis from the first survey,” the ministry said.
The partners of the project in Belarus are the Healthcare Ministry, the National Statistics Committee, the Labor Research Institute and the National Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Labor and Social Security Ministry, the Economic Research Institute of the Economy Ministry, the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian State University and its Center for Social and Political Studies. The partners from Russia are the Federal State Statistic Service, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, Moscow State University, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and the Institute of Socio-Political Research of the Federal Center of Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) - The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) forum “Smart Sustainable Cities: Organizational and Technical Aspects of Development” is taking place at Beltelecom's international switching center on 16-18 March, BelTA has learned.
Taking part in the event are representatives of the ITU, government, regional authorities and also major institutions of science and education. Speakers from Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, experts from the Green Cities Project, UNDP, specialists of Belarus' major companies will share the practical experience and suggest ways of building a smart sustainable city.
A smart sustainable city is an innovative city that uses information and communication technologies and other means to improve living standards, efficiency and services in cities and also competitiveness while meeting the economic, social, environmental and cultural needs of the present and future generations. “At this stage of development of smart sustainable cities, the most important issues include the definition of integrated approaches towards building smart sustainable cities, development of conceptual documents and means to assess the effectiveness of smart sustainable cities. Every year we get more and more technical solutions for a smart sustainable city,” the Communications and Informatization Ministry said.
The program of the forum includes a wide range of thematic reports of international experts in such areas as organizational and technical aspects of smart sustainable cities development. The objectives of the forum are to familiarize Belarusian specialists with the latest global achievements in the area of smart sustainable cities, implemented under the auspices of the ITU, and to consider the proposals of the ITU member countries in the region to unify approaches to the construction and development of smart sustainable cities. Another goal of the forum is to determine the area and procedure for interaction between state and commercial structures in the joint implementation of smart city solutions.
The forum will also include a meeting of the regional group of the ITU-T study group 20 for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Transcaucasia.
The forum is organized by the ITU jointly with Giprosvyaz and the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus.
MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – Actions and the composition of the troops are being gradually increased as part of the campaign designed to check the combat readiness and the mobilization readiness of the Belarusian army, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The 19th Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Northwestern Operational Command and the 11th Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Western Operational Command have been put on alert. After the units receive additional personnel and the necessary hardware, they will march to exercise areas for performance review drills and for tactical exercises involving live fire.
Work continues to prepare previously inspected army units for carrying out their missions.
A number of reservists have been recalled to active service and are going through combat shakedown events, which include tactical classes and combat practice classes. These events have been arranged in line with a surprise inspection plan and are meant to increase the combat readiness of army units, improve their training levels and cohesion.
MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - The Peace of Riga evoked in Belarusians a sense of despair and a feeling of total treason, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives, Doctor of History, Professor Igor Marzalyuk said at a meeting of BelTA's Expert Community project. The meeting discussed the impact and consequences of the Peace of Riga for Belarusian people.
“This event was, perhaps, one of the biggest and most important in the Belarusian history of the 20th century. Without its context, without knowing the facts, we will never understand the attitude of Belarusians to 17 September 1939. Because what happened on 18 March 1921 evoked a sense of despair and a feeling of total complete treason among the absolute majority of the Belarusian national intelligentsia, the Belarusian political elite of that time," Igor Marzalyuk said.
According to him, the Peace of Riga needs to be considered in several aspects. "Back then there was this joke in Europe that Poland was the largest country in the world, because no one knows where its borders end. I would like to note that Britain believed that Poland should stay within its ethnographic borders. The Entente countries saw the Polish claims to Western Belarus and Western Ukraine as imperial unfounded claims,” the MP said. “When we talk about the international legal aspects, our Polish colleagues do not like two definitions that we use in our historiography. First, they claim that the Polish occupation of Belarus is the wrong definition and that it cannot be used. In this respect I would like to recall Anton Lutskevich, the prime minister of the BPR, and his pamphlet "Polish Occupation of Belarus."
The second point is the legitimacy of the Peace of Riga in terms of international law. "This is a very important aspect for the modern Belarusian politics, because this is the cause of different assessments of September 1939 and the policy pursued by the USSR in relation to Western Belarus and Western Ukraine. I would like to highlight one fact: the Peace of Riga was not immediately recognized by any Entente country. They didn't recognize it for years. The treaty was recognized only by the two parties that concluded it, namely Bolshevik Russia and Poland," Igor Marzalyuk added.
MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – On 6-7 April Tajikistan will host exhibitions, a business forum and b2b sessions for businesses of Belarus and Tajikistan. The events are timed to a regular meeting of Belarus-Tajikistan intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation, BelTA learned from the exhibition organizing company BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
Exhibitions of Belarusian manufacturers under the common brand Made in Belarus will show the best of the domestic industry in the following sections: AgroFood (agriculture and food), TechMach (mechanical engineering and technology), Wood (woodworking industry and furniture), Health (healthcare and pharmaceuticals), FMCG (consumer goods).
A Belarus-Tajikistan business forum will be the central event of the business program. Taking part in it will be business people from Afghanistan. The opening ceremony is to be attended by Belarus' Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Krupko and Tajikistan's Minister of Agriculture Ziyozoda Sulaymon Rizoi, as well as representatives of government bodies, business associations and companies of the two countries.
The participants of the forum will discuss trade and economic cooperation prospects and ways to expand contacts between businesses of the two countries. Promising projects will be presented.
In addition, participants of b2b sessions will discuss possible avenues of cooperation in agro-industrial complex, manufacturing, woodworking and finance.
Tajikistan and Afghanistan are among the top five countries where Belarus had the biggest growth of export in 2020.
The business forum is held by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while exhibitions and b2b sessions are arranged by BelInterExpo.
The events will be held in Dushanbe downtown. This location will feature not only Made in Belarus stands, but also the entire infrastructure for comfortable and efficient work: presentation areas, meeting rooms, lounge areas.
MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Bills aimed at combating illicit financial transactions in IT are under discussion at a meeting hosted by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 16 March, BelTA has learned.
“I invited you to work out solutions at the junction of two worlds - digital and financial,” the head of state said opening the meeting. He noted that the financial sector and the IT industry lived their own lives two decades ago. “Yet, today the digital world is literally penetrating every home. Actions and sometimes even public statements of top managers of tech giants started to have a significant impact on traditional industries: mechanical engineering, transportation, logistics, services, space development, and so on,” the president said.
“In some countries, the tools of IT corporations are actively and openly used in political processes (we are familiar with this, too). Those who have let all these processes get out of hand are now reaping a bitter harvest of their decisions,” the head of state added.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the meeting will focus on one of the areas where digital transformation has had a greatest impact - financial sphere. “The use of digital signs (tokens) and cryptocurrencies has become common in many countries of the world. They are accepted as an additional means of payment along with traditional money. In 2017, we were the first in the world to create a legal framework for promoting these technologies in Belarus,” the head of state said.
Since that time Belarus has gained a wealth of experience in this field, the Belarusian leader noted. “As far as I know, no glaring abuse in this area has been allowed,” the president noted. “At the same time, the world has already come up with certain rules aimed at preventing money laundering and financing of terrorism and eliminating prerequisites for various kinds of criminal activity,” he added.
“Therefore, the government, the State Control Committee and the National Bank suggest specifying and clarifying some provisions of the legislation and establishing the necessary level of control over the new field of financial transactions. This is the first set of questions,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The second set of questions, according to the head of state, explores ways to use digital technologies to boost growth. The president noted that this is only about establishing control, not about infringing on any sector. “I want to say that it is about control, on the one hand, civilized control. On the other hand, we want to seize the moment and use this segment for our development purposes,” he explained.
The head of state emphasized that a lot has already been done in Belarus to create a new and very effective sector of the economy in the country. “The companies operating in the Hi-Tech Park are significantly ahead of traditional industries in most economic indicators. The foreign exchange earnings they bring to the country have become an important contributor to the financial sustainability and price stability,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“However, we need to have a broader look at things. When the COVID pandemic broke out last year, the world leaders printed trillions of dollars (we have spoken about this more than once) to protect and save people. Someone tried to cash in on this, someone took advantage of this situation for other purposes. This is obvious to everyone; more things will become clear later. Nobody hides that trillions of dollars were printed to keep their economies afloat, to support businesses and people,” the president continued.
“Where did these funds start flowing? There were invested in what has the greatest growth prospects and, of course, profitability - the IT industry,” the Belarusian leader said. According to him, the enormous demand pushed the value of high-tech companies by 200% to 800%. “No legitimate business can generate this kind of income. Even the value of an unsecured cryptocurrency has reached an all-time record. However, most of the printed money is still idle, which means that if we raise these funds, they will serve as a great impetus to our growth,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
The president asked the participants of the meeting to share their ideas of what can be improved in the legal field and how it can be done in order to bring global capital into the Belarusian IT market.
Another set of questions dealt with the country's digital development. According to the head of state, a comprehensive decree regulating this field is in the works. This document will allow concentrating available resources in several key areas, setting up a single government regulation body, and making the most of China's experience in building a digital society.
“I believe that these issues should have been addressed a long time ago. Two years ago, we agreed that the government would develop fundamental guidelines, and other government agencies would help it with this. It is necessary to make sure that all proposals are thoroughly studied and verified. We should consider them at a separate meeting in the summer,” the president summed up.
MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.106 on 15 March to approve the composition of the Security Council, BelTA has learned.
According to the document, the president of Belarus is the chairman of the Security Council.
Eight civil servants are permanent members of the Security Council: the prime minister, the heads of the lower chamber and the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament, the head of the Belarus President Administration, the state secretary of the Security Council, the interior minister, the defense minister, and the head of the State Security Committee.
According to the decree, the Security Council also includes heads of the Supreme Court, the State Control Committee, the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the Investigative Committee, the State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border Committee of Belarus, the prosecutor general, the ministers of foreign affairs, finance, and emergencies, and the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces – first deputy defense minister.
BelTA reported earlier that State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich delivered his report to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 25 February. During the meeting Aleksandr Lukashenko stated it is necessary to streamline and even reorganize some aspects of the work of the Security Council. “We need to improve certain documents regarding the operation of the Security Council. On the example of Russia, Kazakhstan and other close states I would like to know how they ensure the operation of the Security Council,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
After the meeting Aleksandr Volfovich told reporters about proposals on adjusting the membership of the Security Council. The official said: “Considering today's situation, it was suggested to the president that the defense minister, the internal affairs minister, and the chairman of the State Security Committee should be added to the list of permanent members of the Security Council.” Aleksandr Volfovich noted that in the course of working out these proposals the experience of operation of similar agencies in other countries in the post-Soviet space had been examined, including the work of similar agencies in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

Такую характарыстыку даў рабоце Валожынскай раённай структуры РДГА “Беларускае рэспубліканскае таварыства выратавання на водах” вядучы спецыяліст Мінскай абласной арганізацыі Міхаіл Мікалаевіч ФРАЛОЎ падчас справаздачна-выбарнага сходу, які прайшоў напрыканцы мінулага тыдня ў канферэнц-зале цэнтральнай раённай бібліятэкі. На мерапрыемства былі запрошаны прадстаўнікі пярвічных арганізацый і ўпаўнаважаныя юрыдычных асоб, якія з’яўляюцца членамі таварыства.
Са справаздачным дакладам перад прысутнымі выступіў старшыня раённай арганізацыі І. М. Сухадолец. Ён адзначыў, перад аб’яднаннем і яго членамі стаяць дзяржаўна значныя задачы: недапушчэнне гібелі людзей у раёне дзейнічання выратавальных пастоў, арганізацыя мерапрыемстваў па прафілактычнай рабоце і аказанню насельніцтву першай медыцынскай дапамогі. За апошнія гады з суб’ектамі прафілактыкі – аддзелам па надзвычайных сітуацыях, упраўленнем па адукацыі, спорце і турзыме, праваахоўнымі органамі, медыцынскай і санітарнай службай, актывістамі БРСМ і інш. – у гэтым кірунку зроблена многае. Прафілактычная работа была сканцэнтравана на растлумачэнне патрабаванняў Правілаў аховы жыцця людзей на вадзе, недапушчальнасці купання, рыбнай лоўлі, выкарыстання плаўсродкаў і выхаду на лёў у нецвярозым стане. Прыярытэтным накірункам стала папярэджанне няшчасных выпадкаў з непаўналетнімі.
Аднак, нягледзячы на прымаемыя меры, пазбегнуць трагедый на вадзе не ўдалося: у 2019 годзе ў раёне патануў адзін чалавек, летась – два. Аналіз статыстыкі паказвае: два загінулі ў месцах, дзе забаронена купанне, адзін – пры падзенні ў ваду з лодкі падчас рыбнай лоўлі. Абое мінулагодніх тапельцаў пацярпелі ў вадзе за межамі нашага раёна, і што паказальна – знаходзіліся ў стане алкагольнага ап’янення. Станоўчым момантам з’яўляецца недапушчэнне гібелі на вадзе дзяцей.
Асобна Іван Мікалаевіч спыніўся на асвятленні дзейнасці пярвічных арганізацый ў СМІ. На яго думку, жыхары раёна павінны ведаць і бачыць, што пярвічкі існуюць не фармальна – яны праводзяць шмат разнастайных мерапрыемстваў.
Максімальна магчымае зніжэнне гібелі людзей на водах у краіне – не толькі аснова і мэта дзейнасці таварыства, гэта адзін са складальнікаў палітыкі дзяржавы ў галіне забеспячэння бяспекі грамадзян. І валожынская арганізацыя – дзейснае звяно ў сістэме прафілактыкі гібелі людзей ад знешніх прычын. Як адзначыў М. М. Фралоў, 25 красавіка 2022 года Беларускае рэспубліканскае таварыства выратавання на водах адзначыць 150-годдзе з моманту свайго стварэння. “Калі столькі гадоў яно існуе, значыць, мы робім патрэбную справу”, – падкрэсліў ён. Да юбілейнай даты будуць прымеркаваны розныя мерапрыемствы і акцыі, якія распачнуцца ўжо сёлета.
Па выніках нарады работа раённай структуры ТВВОД была прызнана здавальняючай. Быў абраны новы склад прэзідыума.
Прыемным момантам стала ўзнагароджанне лепшых пярвічак, якія вызначыліся ў прафілактычнай рабоце. Так, першае месца заняў раённы аддзел па надзвычайных сітуацыях, другое – Сакаўшчынская адзінаццацігодка, на трэцім – раённая бальніца. Таксама граматамі абласнога і раённага ўзроўню былі адзначаны самыя актыўныя члены.
