By the end of December, builders will fix the stela's foundation, and in March-April 2019 they will seal the joints, remove the salt emissions at the architectural and sculptural complex.
The obelisk with a height of 45 m is installed on a hill at the beginning of Victory Park in front of the building of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. In its upper part there is an image of a star and a laurel branch, at the bottom the date of assigning the title “Hero City” to Minsk is on June 26, 1974. Nearby on a low pedestal is a bronze sculpture of a woman - the Motherland.
The architectural and sculptural complex was opened in 1985 - the 40th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.
