As the coordinator of the Center Vyacheslav Samarin, a fundamentally new service for the prevention of HIV infection and drug abuse in Belarus. "This man will not impose what he should do. He must decide: to remain drug users and continue to risk their health or yet to get off drugs," - he said.
The center of support for people affected by drug abuse, located in a former kindergarten on the street. Matusevicha. It will run from 12 am to 20 pm on weekdays. "Addicts people will be able to gather in a safe place to talk, play board games, watch movies. And that's very important to get support specialists", - said Vyacheslav Samarin.
On a permanent basis in the center will employ an outreach worker and a social worker. If necessary, will seek the advice of a lawyer, a psychologist, the psychiatrist, an infectious diseases doctor, obstetrician-gynecologist, TB doctor, surgeon, and other specialized professionals. The survey will take place at the clinics.
All services at the center will be provided free of charge and anonymously. Project is financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
