Minsk Region is leading among the regions in terms of socio-economic development

Minsk region in the I half occupies a leading position among the regions on all indicators of socio-economic development. This was announced at a meeting of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, its chairman Semyon Shapiro, BelTA has learned.

The first place among the other regions of the Minsk region is the rate of growth of gross regional product. Thus, the volume of GRP for the I half-year in current prices amounted to Br60,2 trillion and has increased over the same period last year by 0.7%.

For the I half of industrial output amounting to Br60,6 trillion, the industrial production index was 101.2%, including mining - 117%, processing industry - 101.1%, production and distribution of electricity, gas and water - 104%.

The enterprises related to chemical production, industrial production growth reached 8.6% (the share of this type of activity in the regional industrial output is 35%). The growth rate of production of potash fertilizers JSC "Belaruskali" amounted to 106.6%.

The positive dynamics is observed in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products - 130.1%, food products - 100.1%, electrical and optical equipment - 119.1%, transport vehicles and equipment - 138.6%, and mining (except energy) - 131.2%.

In the agricultural organizations of the region for the I half sold 207.1 thous. tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, which is 29.7 ths. tons more (16.8%) than in the same period last year. Grown basic kinds of livestock and poultry 213.6 thous. Tons or 114.3% to the I half of 2014, including cattle - 64.5 thous. Tons (103.3%), pigs - 52.6 thous. tons (124.2%), poultry - 96.5 thous. tons (117,6%).

In the I half of agricultural area is necessary to 793.8 ths. tons of milk, which is 49, 1 ths. tons (6.6%) more than in January-June 2014. Milk production has increased in all regions except Luban (99.8% to the I half of 2014). The average milk yield per cow was 2443 kg and compared with the corresponding period last year increased by 68 kg (2.9%).

Also during the meeting discussed the problematic issues. One of them concerned the inventories of finished goods in warehouses organizations of the region, which as of July 1 totaled Br6,7 trillion, or 84.2% of the average monthly production of utilities - Br356,6 billion, or 26.7% of the standard being 45% .

The highest ratio of inventories to monthly average volume of industrial production observed in Krupki (176.6%), Logoisk (121.8%), Nesvizh (122.6%), Starye Dorogi (196.7%), Stolbtsy (121.5%), Uzda (180.2%) regions and Zhodino (6.4 times).

The governor also stated that insufficient is working to attract foreign direct investment. Thus, in the I half of the entire region to attract foreign direct investment of $ 320.7 million (with annual target $ 680 million), or 96.3% of the corresponding period last year.
