Around 400 craftsmen Minsk oblast will take part in the second festival of crafts "Slutskiya payasam", which will be held today in Slutsk. BelTA was informed in the main ideology department of culture and youth affairs of the Minsk regional executive committee.
Festival opens at the Central City Square concert of creative amateur groups of Minsk region. Along the street Bogdanovich unfold Fair "Ramesnaya slabada", which will feature the best masters of weaving products Solomon and basket weaving, pottery, wood carving, embroidery and other crafts. It is expected to conduct master classes on weaving, painting on fabric, weaving paper tubes.
On a site near the Children's Creativity Center held regional competition "Belarusian ljalka", whose members represent traditional and modern Belarusian doll, made their own hands. This year, applications for the contest sent more than 100 people from 17 districts of the Minsk region.
The holiday program is planned for the conference "Traditional crafts of Minsk Region: current status, household characteristics and trends", which will be attended by well-known figures of culture and art of Belarus. For the little ones provide entertaining games and competitions, theatrical performances involving children's theater and folklore groups.
The event ended with a concert program of folklore ensemble "Kupalinka" Belarusian State Philharmonic.
The regional festival of crafts "Slutskiya payasam" conducted in accordance with the state program of revival of traditional manufacturing technologies and Slutsk belts and the development of national souvenirs "Slutsk belts" for 2012-2015.
