Police in Minsk region has strengthened control over the circulation of pyrotechnic articles, BelTA learned from the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee of Internal Affairs.

Monitoring the objects of trade, realizing fireworks, law enforcement officers began to November 23. The first test showed that sellers primarily violate the rules of storage and sale of fireworks, ie explosives, including a third class of danger, weighing up to several kilograms, in fact, are freely available to the general public. The responsibility for this is provided for in Article 23.48 of the Administrative Code of Belarus, according to which a fine can be up to 20 basic units.

In addition, investigators are working to identify people involved in illegal sale of pyrotechnic articles on the eve of New Year holidays. Their actions are classified as illegal business activities. In this case, responsibility is stipulated by article 12.7 of the Administrative Code, a penalty that threatens the enterprising citizens will be equal to 500 basic units.

Also, the police are going to stop violations of public order, related to the use of pyrotechnics, including minors. In the case of such offenses teenager, police officers immediately begin to consider setting it on the record. Sale of fireworks to children is permitted only if they reach the age of 15 years.

Checks to identify and eliminate violations of the order of storage and sale of fireworks will continue throughout the New Year and Christmas holidays. Their main task - ensuring public safety and the prevention of accidents related to the use of pyrotechnic articles.
