The "Propellerolet" student of the 11th class of the Minsk State Regional Lyceum Alexei Borisevich awarded a special prize at the international scientific and engineering competition Intel International Science and Engineering Fair-2016 (Intel ISEF), which was held in Phoenix (USA, Arizona) . According to the results of competitive tests Alexei Borisevich received a special prize (third prize) from one of the largest US corporate assets Alcoa Foundation in the category of Sustainable Design In Transportation. The author in his work proposed aerodynamic configuration of the aircraft that combines the maneuverability of the helicopter and the speed of the aircraft. Fund with assets of more than $ 400 million, which is a special prize was the representative of Belarus, paying special attention to environmental issues and education. He builds innovative partnerships, attracting people to work to improve the environment and educating future leaders.
This year, in the international Intel ISEF science and engineering of Belarus will be represented by four guys who won the contest of scientific and engineering Belarus Science and Engineering Fair, which was held in February. It is organized by the Education Department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, Minsk Regional Institute for Education Development, Administration of the Park of High Technologies, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics and Intel Corporation.
This year, the national competition was held for the fourth time. It is noteworthy that the right to participate in the prestigious international competition received students of the Minsk region. In the project students of 9th class Starobin high school Soligorsk district Darya Zalessk ( "Ekozol" Three Bears "- a new eco-friendly fire retardant to prevent forest fires") describes the preparation and testing in the laboratory and in the field of environmentally friendly, related moors flame retardant on the basis of sawdust.
