1 September is Knowledge Day in the Republic of Belarus. Back-to-school ceremonies are held across the country to kick off a new academic year.
The first lesson at Belarusian schools is traditionally a thematic one. This year it is dedicated to historical memory and is held under the theme “Historical Memory - the Road to the Future”.
Some 1,0850,000 students are resuming studies in Belarus, including 115,000 first-graders.
