The solemn presentation of passports of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus to young residents of the Minsk region will be held March 15 in the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Nesvizh", BelTA was told in the press center of the Minsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

On the Constitution Day in Nesvizh, the regional stage of the All-Belarusian patriotic action "We are citizens of Belarus!" Will take place. "Half a hundred active children, among them laureates of creative, intellectual competitions, winners of subject Olympiads, excellent students, participants in scientific and practical conferences, prize-winners of republican competitions will receive their first document from the hands of the Minsk region leaders and guests of honor," the press center said. It is planned that the solemn ceremony will be attended by the champion of the 2014 Olympic Games in the ski acrobatics of freestyle Alla Zuper, the UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador in Belarus Svetlana Borovskaya and others.

On the festive day, the children will also receive the publication "I am a citizen of the Republic of Belarus" - a colorfully designed album about the country, its history, state structure, national traditions, unique nature and development prospects. Participants of the ceremony are expected to receive musical congratulations, a general photo for memory and an excursion to the palace and park ensemble of the 16th-19th centuries.

The BRSM acts as the initiator of the action "We are citizens of Belarus!", Which is designed to focus on such a significant event as obtaining a passport of a citizen of the country and to give solemnity to this event. The main objective of the project is to contribute to the formation of the position of a citizen of Belarus, to enhance the legal and information culture of 14-year-old boys and girls receiving passports. The project, in particular, is designed to inform young citizens about their rights and obligations, the foundations of the Belarusian legislation and state system, and contemporary domestic and foreign policies.
