A delegation of veterans and youth from Kaliningrad will visit Minsk and the Minsk region on May 17-18, BelTA learned from deputy head of the department for educational and ideological work of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Nadezhda Velikaya.
The patriotic action "Train of Memory" gathered 450 people. The group includes youth activists, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and local wars, representatives of the administration of the Kaliningrad region.
Guests will visit the museum of the history of the Great Patriotic War, lay flowers to the stele "Minsk - the city of the hero." The children will meet with students from the capital's gymnasium №28, secondary school №120, the Center for technical and artistic creativity of children and youth of Frunzensky district Zorka, students of the professional and technical college of railway transport named after EP Yushkevich in order to find like-minded people for joint patriotic projects . Also in the program - a visit to the historical and cultural complex "Stalin's Line", the memorial complex "Khatyn", the Hill of Glory, a concert in the Cinema House.
Before that, the group got acquainted with the sights of Bryansk.
The patriotic action "Train of Remembrance" has been held by the government of the Kaliningrad region since 2007. Over ten years more than 3.9 thousand Kaliningraders became its participants, visited Moscow, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Kursk, Brest, Smolensk, Tula, Novorossiysk and Volgograd.
