The season of pre-New Year fairs will start in the Minsk region on December 9, BelTA was told in the main department of trade and services of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
According to the decision, in connection with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, regional fairs will be held on weekends until January 6, 2018, inclusive.
It is also planned to hold several major regional fairs. In Molodechno and Soligorsk they will be held on December 16, in Nesvizh - December 17, in Borisov, Vileyka, Slutsk and Zhodino - December 23. On December 30, Zhodino is scheduled to hold a regional fair again.
As noted in the main department of trade and services, the emphasis during the fairs is made on the festive and New Year's range, which will be in demand among buyers. They will be able to purchase New Year's gifts, live and artificial spruce, as well as other food and non-food items. In addition, at the fairs will be organized sales of goods, promotions and tastings.
Fairs will mainly take place in open areas. District authorities will determine the venue of events and inform the public about it.
