The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) is in talks with Chinese partners over potential joint participation in research projects and opportunities for technology transfer and experience exchange between specialists, the NASB press service told BelTA following a meeting between Vladimir Karamik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Liang Jie Vice President of the Chinese engineering and construction firm CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.
The focus is on promising areas and mechanisms for cooperation in science, including in the field of biotechnology. Particular attention is paid to advanced developments in the production of essential amino acids and preparations for entering the local and export markets of highly productive, balanced compound feeds and premixes.
Vladimir Karamik expressed confidence that today’s meeting will be an important step toward a deeper understanding of the bilateral cooperation and the successful resolution of current objectives. He also recalled previous negotiations and agreements reached with Chinese partners.
“We need to jointly develop a clear action plan, a kind of roadmap, to bring all the agreements reached to life. Our main task now is to identify responsible persons, establish specific timelines, and create conditions for the successful development of the biotechnology sector,” Vladimir Karamik emphasized.
