Festival Locomotive presented in Minsk ahead of Slavianski Bazaar

30.06.2026

The presentation of the Festival Locomotive train (as part of the 35 Events campaign ahead of the 35th International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk) took place at Minsk Passazhirsky railway station on 29 June, BelTA has learned.

During Slavianski Bazaar, an additional train No. 644/643 on the Minsk-Vitebsk route will operate, branded in the festival’s signature style. According to First Deputy Head of the Passenger Service of Belarusian Railways Konstantin Boyar, from 14 to 20 July the train will depart from Minsk at 12:30 and arrive in Vitebsk at 16:01. In the opposite direction, from Vitebsk, the train will depart from 15 to 21 July at 1:19 and arrive in Minsk at 5:30. “The train’s schedule and route are aligned with the festival program so that citizens and guests of the country can comfortably reach their destination, visit key locations in Vitebsk, and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere,” he said.

Konstantin Boyar noted that the train will operate in an accelerated mode. “Traditionally, the train carries between 10,000 and 11,000 passengers; as of today, around 3,000 tickets have already been sold,” he added.

The exterior and interior of the train feature Slavianski Bazaar branding. “We understand that those traveling on this train are not just passengers but festival participants, so we have prepared souvenir products. In addition, there will be brochures with the event program so that people can comfortably familiarize themselves with what will be happening at the festival,” the first deputy head emphasized.

Konstantin Surin, head of the Belarusian Railways passenger train, added that the train will feature musical accompaniment consisting of compositions that were played at past festival events.
