Belarus and Brazil discussed ways to expand cooperation in higher education during a meeting between First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich and Brazilian Ambassador to Belarus Julio Cesar Fontes Laranjeira on 1 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties focused on enhancing humanitarian cooperation, with particular emphasis on higher education, the development of academic mobility programs, and the expansion of inter-university exchange initiatives.
The sides underscored the importance of strengthening direct contacts between higher education institutions in the countries as a key element in fostering mutual understanding and enhancing the scientific and educational potential of Belarus and Brazil.
The sides also reaffirmed their mutual interest in giving practical effect to the existing agreements in the field of education.
