The Back-to-School charitable initiative has kicked off in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarus Red Cross.
The Belarus Red Cross is collecting, purchasing, and distributing full school supply kits and backpacks to children across the country. The goal is to ensure that every child has the resources they need to learn and that the start of the school year brings nothing but joy.
The project aims to support children who found themselves in a difficult situation, children with disabilities, children from low‑income families, as well as children of forced migrants and refugees.
Anyone who wishes to join the initiative is welcome to do so. Ways to help include bringing school supplies to a Belarus Red Cross office, handing them over to volunteers at retail locations, or making a donation through a bank.
In 2025, a total of 14,403 children received help. The project will be running through 11 September.
