The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and Northwestern Polytechnical University of China have signed nine cooperation agreements, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences.
Under the agreements, the parties will cooperate in advanced materials and technologies, including functionalized and nanostructured materials, thin-film materials, advanced coatings and coating technologies, plasma and surface technologies. Particular attention will be paid to battery technologies, including the development of batteries and cathode and anode materials, and battery recycling technologies.
The agreements cover digital modeling and digital twins, diagnostics and monitoring of technical systems, tribology, as well as energy technologies, including power plants, engines, heat transfer and alternative fuels.
All the signed documents lay the legal groundwork for future joint projects and regulate intellectual property protection.
A delegation from Northwestern Polytechnical University visited Minsk from 15 to 20 August. The program was packed: in addition to official talks, the delegation visited academic institutions and organizations to assess the potential of Belarusian developments firsthand and discuss details of upcoming joint projects and research.
