Belarus launches series of business workshops to boost regional tourism

04.09.2026

The National Union of the Tourism Industry is launching a series of regional business workshops, BelTA was told by the Union.

Experts will speak on where to seek financing and what support measures are available, how to understand what the modern traveler truly needs, and how to turn an idea into a business plan and a tourism product. Another topic will be the risks that are crucial to assess before committing funds.

The first meeting will take place on 10 September in Zelva. Similar events will later be held in other regions of Belarus. The speakers will include experts from the National Union of the Tourism Industry, the National Tourism Agency, and the banking sector.

The main goal of this new meeting format is to create a working dialogue platform where regional entrepreneurs can get firsthand information on the new rules of the game in the market and opportunities for concessional lending.

Filipp Guly, Chairman of the Board of the National Union of the Tourism Industry, noted that for the Union, consistent growth in the quality and variety of the national tourism product and service standards is a matter of principle, and that is unthinkable without the emergence of new and additional infrastructure.

“For investors of any scale, the main thing is to get a return on their efforts and money, and by no means disappointment or losses. To build what is needed and where it is needed, to properly set up the flow of processes and not burn out, deep knowledge and experience are required, and the Union’s experts are ready to share theirs. This is no less important for banks, which lend money on terms of urgency, payment and repayment, so that they can be confident in the viability of a project’s economic model,” he said.

The program includes four expert modules covering the key components of the tourism business: from product development and understanding demand to financing and scaling projects.
