Muraveiko to oversee strategic projects, citizens’ appeals

05.10.2026

The new deputy head of the Belarus President Administration, Pavel Muraveiko, will take on oversight of strategic projects and work with citizens’ appeals, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi told the Belarus 1 television channel, BelTA reports.

“Pavel Nikolayevich [Muraveiko] will oversee a number of strategic projects linked not only to the defense industry but also to regional programs. He will coordinate the institution of presidential aides in the regions and handle citizens’ appeals,” Dmitry Krutoi noted. “I think this will be a great help and we will see greater progress in some areas. He works very well with people, so the civilian part of his career is quite solid as well. He has a good analytical mind and can help prepare certain materials on civil initiatives.”

Dmitry Krutoi explained that the head of state receives an enormous number of appeals, including via social media. From this whole array, the most important topics, the ones that genuinely require the president’s attention, need to be singled out.

“The Belarus President Administration is working to improve the performance of this unit. I think Pavel Nikolayevich [Muraveiko] will also take charge of coordinating this work,” Dmitry Krutoi added.

In a comment to journalists, Pavel Muraveiko noted that in his new role he will have to look at the processes taking place in the country from a different angle. “So that we can reliably ensure the country’s security,” he stressed.

A reminder, in late September Aleksandr Lukashenko appointed Pavel Muraveiko deputy head of the Belarus President Administration. The head of state noted that no one had recommended this candidate to him; it was his personal decision, partly unexpected both for the current leadership of the Belarus President Administration and for the State Secretariat of the Security Council and the military. “So you will not owe anything to anyone,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

He stressed that this personnel decision was aimed at obtaining an alternative point of view on the situation in the Armed Forces from a competent professional. “An alternative, competitive point of view must exist at the highest level. I need it. I want our Armed Forces to be ready for the most serious clashes so that such clashes can be avoided,” the Belarusian leader stated. “Our goal is one: to protect the piece of land on which we live.”
