A preliminary investigation of the case was made by the Directorate for the Investigation of Crimes in the sphere of organized crime and corruption, the Investigative Committee of Belarus . Employees of the Inspectorate are accused of abuse of power and accepting bribes in the form of expensive mobile phones. Bribes offered them for issues of concealment of administrative offenses committed by citizens and failure to attract these people to administrative responsibility for engaging in illegal business activities . Head of the Department is also accused of stealing and willful conferring the title and authority of the official.
Incriminated for tax inspectors Criminal Code offenses are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 10 years .
