The torch relay of the II European Games continues to travel around the capital. Today, the Guardians of Fire were greeted at the National Opera and Ballet Big Theatre. The General Director of the theatre, Vladimir Gridyushko, noted that this is a great honor and high responsibility, because sport in our country is one of the symbols of our statehood, as well as the theatre itself: “We are participants in the cultural program of the European Games, and we wait for all the participants at our concerts of this holiday. ”
The artistic director of the theatre, Valentin Yelizariev, took the torch and passed it on to TV host Svetlana Borovskaya, who, by the way, came with her parents and children: “For me, it’s a great joy, I’ve become a part of history, and I’m glad that I can share this happiness with my family.”
The "Flame of Peace" will be brought to Dynamo Stadium tomorrow - and the Fire of the II European Games will flare up there.
