Pancake festival will be held on February 16 in Minsk region, BelTA learned from the event organizers.
At the beginning of Maslenitsa in the cafe "Grandfather tavern" in Minsk region will host the "Pancake Fest" - a holiday one of the most favorite treats children and adults. There can taste different kinds of pancakes, from the traditional to the unusual, for example, Borodino fritters.
At the end of the tasting jury will choose the best pancake 2015.
During the master class "Pancake history" participants will be presented to a special recipe for pancakes - Pancakes in oil on David-Gorodok. These pancakes are served on special occasions, have their subtleties of cooking and serving, which will open the cook during the holiday.
At the end of the event the guests waiting for the master class in cooking lush pancakes in the Russian stove, as well as making stuffed Pancake Day.
Mardi Gras - the ancient Slavic holiday, inherited from the pagan culture that has been preserved and after the adoption of Christianity.
