Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to personnel and veterans of special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus as they celebrate Paratroopers’ Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“For nearly a century now, the paratroopers have steadfastly guarded the nation’s interests, proving the truth of their legendary motto, ‘Nobody but us,’ with each day of their dedicated service,” the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state emphasized that the Airborne Forces have always drawn individuals of extraordinary grit who have contributed countless glorious chapters to the heroic history of the Armed Forces. “Whether in the battles of the Great Patriotic War or in the course of local conflicts, these undaunted and invincible paratroopers have honorably fulfilled every objective under the most grueling conditions,” the president noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out that the current generation of special operations forces honorably uphold the airborne traditions, establishing themselves as a solid pillar of the nation’s security interests.
“Courage and an unbreakable character, exemplary mastery, unwavering commitment to the homeland and their calling, an indomitable fighting spirit, and fortitude – these are the defining traits of special operations service members,” the Belarusian leader highlighted.
The head of state expressed his deep gratitude to the veterans for their role in preserving and enriching the traditions of the legendary Airborne Forces, where service is a calling for true men, a test of resilience, and a school of character for a lifetime.
“I am firmly convinced that you will never falter and will always stand as the ultimate guarantor of our nation’s security and the peace of our citizens,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The president wished the personnel, veterans, and their families good health, happiness, well-being, a peaceful sky, and further success in serving the nation of Belarus.
