Belarus and Russia’s Republic of Tyva signed a cooperation action plan on the sidelines of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the press service of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus told BelTA.
Chairwoman of the State Committee for Standardization Yelena Morgunova and Head of the Republic of Tyva Vladislav Khovalyg signed an action plan for the agreement between the government of Belarus and the government of the Republic of Tyva on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation.
The document includes a list of activities across the following areas: foreign economic activity; industry; agriculture and food; architecture, construction, and housing and utility; education, science and technology; IT; social and cultural activities; physical education, sports, and tourism.
The document provides for the mutual exchange of information, implementation of joint projects and events, product presentations, as well as facilitation of mutual supplies and expansion of business contacts. In particular, an agreement was reached at the meeting to resume reciprocal visits by business representatives. Tyva also expressed interest in studying Belarusian expertise and meat processing technologies.
“The implementation of this action plan will help revitalize cooperation, primarily at the business level. Despite the geographical distance, we are united by a shared desire to increase and strengthen trade, economic, social and cultural ties. I express my hope that our interaction will have a real practical impact and will scale up into various industries and areas of life,” Yelena Morgunova said.
The head of the committee also suggested considering the possibility of holding the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tyva in Minsk: “I am confident that the culture of the unique Tyvan region will be of great interest to Belarusians.”
Belarus’ cooperation with the Republic of Tyva is overseen by the State Committee for Standardization.
On behalf of the people of the Republic of Belarus and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the people of the Kingdom of Denmark on Constitution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The great history, rich cultural heritage, and natural uniqueness of Denmark have rightfully earned it the title of the gem of Scandinavia. I am confident that in today’s international situation, it is very important for Denmark, as well as for Belarus, to continue peaceful traditions of respectful contacts and trust between nations,” the message reads.
“I sincerely hope that in the near future our friendly relations will become the foundation for a full-fledged dialogue and multifaceted partnership in all areas, which Belarus is ready to resume for the sake of stability and sustainable development of our states and the region as a whole,” the president noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Denmark well-being, progress, and prosperity.
A new round of consultations on the treaty on security guarantees within the Union State will take place in September, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said during a panel discussion “The Union State: Time to Be First at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Galuzin recalled that this treaty entered into force in March 2025. “It is designed to strengthen mutual obligations to ensure the security of Russia and Belarus using all available forces and means, including in exceptional cases - nuclear weapons,” he said.
The presidents of Belarus and Russia have appointed special representatives to review the implementation of the treaty, and to date two rounds of consultations have taken place, in Moscow in September of last year and in Minsk in March of this year. “During these consultations, the parties carried out a thorough joint analysis of security challenges and threats of the Union State and possible responses to them. The next round is scheduled for September,” he noted.
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.180 “On measures to develop international freight transport by road” on 4 June, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.
The document provides for waiving the recycling fee for new trucks (no more than 3 years from the date of manufacture) of environmental class 5 and above, for trailers and semi-trailers imported into Belarus in 2026.
The decree is aimed at creating additional conditions for Belarusian road carriers to renew their fleet of vehicles that can compete on the international market. The proposed preferences will make it possible to increase the export of transport services and will contribute to the development of the export-oriented segment of the country’s economy.
At a sitting of the third session of the House of Representatives, MPs ratified a protocols introducing amendments to the Agreement on Uniform Principles and Rules for the Circulation of Medical Devices (medical products and medical equipment) within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) of 23 December 2014, BelTA has learned.
The protocol on amending the said agreement, signed on 29 December 2025, provides for a two-year extension of the deadline for submitting applications for expert review or registration of medical devices in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of the EAEU member states.
As Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev explained while presenting the draft law to the MPs, the circulation of medical devices within the EAEU member states, including Belarus, is permitted only after their registration. According to the Agreement on Uniform Principles and Rules for the Circulation of Medical Devices within the EAEU, as of 1 January 2026, the registration of medical devices was envisaged exclusively under the EAEU law.
However, given the need to ensure an adequate range of medical devices on the markets of the EAEU member states, the member states reached a consensus that the established timeframe was insufficient for transitioning to the registration of medical devices within the EAEU and fully abandoning national registration of medical devices.
“In this regard, in order to avert the threat of a shortage of medical devices registered in the EAEU member states, the parties signed a protocol that provides for extending the transition period until 31 December 2027, and preserves until 31 December 2028 the possibility of submitting applications for expert review and registration of medical devices under the procedures established by the legislation of the union’s member states,” said Aleksandr Khodzhayev.
According to him, the implementation of the protocol will ensure the continued circulation, until 31 December 2027, of medical devices registered under national legislation within the member states, as long as the registration documents remain valid. This will allow for a smoother transition to the registration of medical devices in accordance with the union’s legal acts and will ensure the availability of the usual range of medical devices for healthcare workers and the public.
The protocol on amending the agreement, signed on 9 February 2026, expands the list of medical devices not subject to registration within the EAEU. Specifically, medical devices manufactured according to individual patient orders exclusively for personal use are exempt from registration.
The protocol also adds to the cases where medical devices are not subject to registration within the union, namely: devices brought into the customs territory of the union for the provision of life-saving medical care to a patient with the authorization of a competent authority; medical devices manufactured on the territory of a member state for export; as well as kits, sets, packages, and first-aid kits assembled in accordance with the legislation of a member state from registered medical devices and medicines and intended for circulation within that state.
Thus, the ratification of the protocols will preserve a wide range of medical devices for use in medical practice in Belarus and harmonize the requirements for the registration of medical devices across the territory of the member states, the minister concluded.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a number of laws ratifying international documents regulating legal relations in the areas of migration and law enforcement. The laws had previously been adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
Among them is a law ratifying an intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan on the procedure for citizens’ stay in the territories of the two countries. The agreement regulates the rules of temporary stay and specifies the list of documents allowing citizens to enter and leave the territories of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
A law ratifying an intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan on readmission was also signed. The agreement establishes procedures for the return, acceptance and transfer of individuals staying in either country in violation of national legislation governing the entry, exit and residence of foreigners and stateless persons.
The president also signed a law ratifying a protocol terminating the agreement on assistance to refugees and forcibly displaced persons on 24 September 1993. The document provides for the termination of the agreement due to its outdated nature. Legal relations related to assistance for refugees and displaced persons in Belarus are currently regulated by national legislation that takes into account the country’s international obligations in this area.
Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a law ratifying an agreement on the organization and conduct of international controlled deliveries by competent authorities of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The agreement establishes procedures for organizing and carrying out controlled deliveries of goods, substances and items whose free circulation is prohibited or restricted, as well as property obtained through criminal activity, for the purpose of detecting crimes and identifying those involved in preparing, committing or having committed them.
On 1 June, Minsk hosted the national children’s festival titled as Peaceful Land of Childhood: Laboratory of the Future, dedicated to International Children’s Day, BelTA has learned.
The large-scale event, which brought together over 300 children from across the country at the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth, was organized by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Belarusian Children’s Fund and the National Children’s Technopark.
The festival brought together talented youth, including winners of academic Olympiads, creative contests, and sports competitions. They were joined by children from foster, guardian, and large families, as well as students from cadet schools and family-type children’s homes.
As Deputy Minister of Education Yekaterina Petrutskaya noted, for Belarus, Children’s Day is not just a calendar date, but a cornerstone of the state’s ideology. “Our children are the very core of our country’s ideology. This means protecting every child and safeguarding their interests every single day, regardless of any calendar date. Today, every child has the opportunity to learn, work, and grow on peaceful Belarusian soil, under peaceful Belarusian skies,” the deputy education minister emphasized.
The festival featured an awards ceremony for the winners of the major national project dedicated to the National Flag, National Emblem, and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. The deputy education minister expressed confidence that such events play a crucial role in raising true patriots who are ready to showcase high achievements at the national level.
Chairwoman of the Board of the Belarusian Children’s Fund Lyudmila Kondrashova highlighted the event’s special mission to emphasize the importance of making conscious choices in every child’s life. “Today, we tell our children that their future is in their hands. The Belarusian Children’s Fund is doing everything possible to ensure that summer break is a time of joy and safety for them. We provide support, organize wellness programs, field trips, and creative workshops,” she said.
Lyudmila Kondrashova also noted the importance of the peer-to-peer principle in raising the younger generation. “It is deeply meaningful when children support one another. Seeing healthy kids share their warmth, attention, and care with peers with developmental disabilities is truly heartwarming. Today’s festival brought together over 300 children, many of whom have overcome significant life challenges to achieve remarkable creative success,” the Children’s Fund representative added.
The day’s program is packed with a wide variety of events, featuring concert performances, interactive zones, and creative hubs where children can showcase their talents and make new friends.

Belarus is ready to share its experience of building nuclear power plants and the digital transformation of the power engineering industry. Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Konstantin Anoshenko mentioned it in an interview with the Kazakh TV channel 24KZ on the sidelines of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, BelTA has learned.
It was noted that Belarus and Kazakhstan are bound by long-standing partnership relations in the energy sector while cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union opens up new opportunities for developing common energy markets and strengthening energy security.
Special attention during the conversation was paid to the development of the nuclear energy industry. It was emphasized that today Belarus actively shares the experience gained during the construction and operation of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. This experience is already of interest to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, which are implementing or considering their own nuclear projects.
“We are ready to give tips to our colleagues about how to implement such large-scale projects even more effectively, to share knowledge and practical experience,” Konstantin Anoshenko assured.
The deputy minister also spoke about the role of digitization and artificial intelligence in the energy sector, noting that AI technologies already help forecast electricity consumption, increase equipment reliability, optimize repairs, and create digital models of energy facilities.
“Artificial intelligence is not a replacement for humans, but a tool that allows significantly increasing the efficiency of their work,” Konstantin Anoshenko emphasized the point.
Attempts to isolate Belarus from the global mineral fertilizer market are counterproductive, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on 1 June, BelTA has learned.
“We are ready to contribute to supplying the world’s consumers with mineral fertilizers. Moreover, Belarusian producers account for about 20% of all mineral fertilizers in the world. Therefore, any sanctions restrictions, any attempts to isolate Belarus from the global mineral fertilizer market are counterproductive and have a very negative impact on providing the planet’s population with food,” the Belarusian leader said.

Теперь ему предстоит дино-челлендж в джунглях, где его союзниками
станут болтливый велоцираптор, контролирующий отец и школьная любовь.

плохо.
