Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greeting to Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez as the country celebrates the National Rebellion Day - 70th anniversary of the daring attack on the Moncada Barracks led by Fidel and Raul Castro, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The heroic protests of Cuban patriots eventually turned into a large-scale liberation movement that changed the course of world history once and for all," the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state noted that Belarus highly values the friendly relations with Cuba, a reliable ally and consistent partner of Belarus in Latin America.
"Similar views on the most pressing issues of modern politics, constructive work in multilateral organizations, mutual interest in increasing trade and implementing major economic projects serve as a reliable basis for further dynamic development of cooperation," the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez good health and inexhaustible strength to fulfill all his plans, and the fraternal Cuban people - happiness and prosperity.

4 апреля в Воложинской детской библиотеке прошел час здоровья «Мой выбор – здоровье». Мероприятие было проведено для учеников 8-го класса гимназии №1.
Библиотекарь рассказала о значении здорового образа жизни, её ценности, о её роли в жизни каждого человека. В ходе мероприятия обсуждались такие вредные привычки как курение, алкоголь, наркомания. Для наглядного ознакомления были подготовлены тематические выставки книг и периодических изданий «Здоровье – драгоценный дар», «Стоп, наркотик!», видеопрезентация «Вредные привычки».
В ходе проведенного мероприятия ребята получили необходимые знания, умения, навыки по здоровому образу жизни и, мы надеемся, будут использовать их в повседневной жизни.
3 и 4 апреля на базе физкультурно-оздоровительного комплекса в г.Воложин прошли соревнования по летнему многоборью комплекса «Здоровье» среди учащихся учреждений общего среднего образования, расположенных в сельской и городской местности.
07 апреля 2023 года, в физкультурно-оздоровительном комплексе г. Воложина проходило первенство ГУ "ДЮСШ Воложинского района" по стритболу (2007-2008 г.р. и моложе)
Кубок и первенство района по легкоатлетическому кроссу, приуроченному Году мира и созидания прошел на базе Гимназии №1 г. Воложина.
В соревнованиях приняли участия более 170 спортсменов из разных городов и районов РБ. Команда ГУ "ДЮСШ Воложинского района" приняла участие в турнире в составе 38 спортсменов-учащихся отделения дзюдо. Борьба была напряженной, эффектной, красочной.

апреля 2023 года проходил Чемпионат Минской области по теннису
настольному.
С целью формирования толерантного, бережного отношения друг к другу, умения находиться в команде на основе взаимопонимания, милосердия, уважения был организован cпортивный марафон «Толерантность - путь к миру», в котором приняли участие ребята 8-10 классов.
На старт вышли две команды учащихся. Перед началом соревнований ведущий познакомил с правилами игры, которые не должны нарушаться игроками. В процессе мероприятия юным спортсменам были предложены семь видов эстафет: «Баскетбол», «Переправа», «Полоса препятствий», «Прыжки на скакалке», «Возьми свой предмет», «Два кольца», «Бег по кривой». Все этапы этого увлекательного соревнования проходили в дружеской борьбе, в ходе которой ребята показали свою ловкость, силу, быстроту, сообразительность и организованность, приходили на помощь своим товарищам по команде. Участники старались изо всех сил прийти к финишу первыми. В конце соревнований были подведены итоги. Обе команды показали отличные спортивные достижения.
22 апреля 2023 года учащиеся 3-4 классов приняли активное участие в спортивно – патриотической игре «Зарничка», которая прошла на базе ГУО «Гимназия №1 г. Воложина».
4-5 мая 2023 года на базе физкультурно-оздоровительного комплекса г.Воложина проходили областные соревнования по баскетболу среди юношей 2008-2009 г.р. в рамках областной спартакиады школьников в 2022/2023 учебном году.
Во второе воскресенье мая в нашей стране отмечается День Государственного герба, Государственного флага и Государственного гимна Республики Беларусь. В преддверии праздника любители здорового образа жизни – руководство райисполкома, представители организаций и предприятий района, общественных объединений, молодёжь и школьники, участвовали в патриотическом велопробеге.
Уже ставшее традиционным спортивное мероприятие собрало участников соревнований субботним утром на стадионе микрорайона «Сельхозтехника». Подтянутые, улыбающиеся, одним внешним видом они популяризировали спорт и здоровый образ жизни.
По итогам спартакиады в общекомандном зачете на 1 месте команда Воложинского РОЧС, 2 место у команды Воложинской центральной районной больницы и на 3 месте команда открытого акционерного общества «Судниковский».
14 мая в Минске проходил PL SUPER CUP 2023 по футболу среди мальчиков 2015 г.р.
Золотые медали достались юным футболистом из ГУ «ФОЦ Воложинского района» под руководством тренера Цаюна Артемия Петровича. Команда была награждена кубком и медалями!
17 мая 2023 года в Воложинской центральной районной библиотеке в рамках клуба «Міласэрнасць» прошла встреча с врачом-терапевтом Нехведович Мариной Александровной. Участники мероприятия активно задавали разные вопросы.
При осуществлении велопробега участники возложили цветы к памятнику «Женщина в печали» в деревне Кражино.
В районе прошел праздник спорта, здоровья, корпоративного содружества, позитивного настроения. Именно так характеризуют участники-члены профсоюза работников АПК, прошедшую спартакиаду, участие в которой приняло 7 команд.
В общем итоге I общекомандное место заняла команда Воложинского сельскохозяйственного колледжа, на втором месте — Судниковский, третье место у команды из Агро-Дубинского.
Основной целью профилактики вредного влияния курения на организм является полный отказ от курения. Поэтому ежегодно 31 мая ВОЗ проводит Всемирный день без табака и каждый год определяет его новый девиз. Всемирный день без табака в 2023 году проводится под лозунгом: «Нам нужна еда, а не табак».
31 мая в Воложинском районном центре культуры прошёл информационный час для детей и подростков «Безвредного табака не бывает» и тематическая беседа «Жизнь без табачного дыма». Участники мероприятий узнали, что курение является видом бытовой наркомании, что табачный дым в своем составе имеет более 400 компонентов, 40 из которых имеют канцерогенные свойства и приводят к печальным последствиям для организма. Со старшими ребятами также была проведена интерактивная игра «Правда-ложь», а с младшими участниками проведён блиц-опрос «Буду – не буду».
15 июня на экотропе «Белокорец» прошел региональный спортивно — туристический слет «Серебряный компас» для представителей старшего поколения. Инициатором и организатором мероприятия стал ГУ «Воложинский ТЦСОН».

С 23 по 25 июня в урочище «Дубы» вблизи деревни Михалово прошел районный туристический слет, посвященный Году мира и созидания и Дню молодежи.

Director of the National Center for Marketing Nikolai Borisevich held a meeting with the outgoing Charge d'Affaires of Qatar in Belarus Meshaal Al-Attiyah.
The parties exchanged views on the current level of Belarusian-Qatari cooperation in trade and economy, including promising areas of cooperation in business.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated current and retired employees of emergency agencies on their professional holiday, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Today marks the 170th anniversary of Belarus' fire service. Its history knows many examples of heroic deeds and selfless work of brave and noble people - firefighters,” the message reads. “Building on the best traditions of its predecessors, the Emergencies Ministry of the Republic of Belarus effectively addresses important tasks – to protect life and health of people, preserve material and technical assets of the country. Belarus has created a system that promptly responds to all threats and helps those in need. This system is being constantly improved,” the message reads.
The head of state thanked the personnel of the Emergencies Ministry for their high professionalism, courage and readiness to respond to fire emergencies at any moment. “Thanks to you, Belarusians can safely live and work,” the president noted. “I express my deep respect to retired firefighters. Hard work, patriotism and devotion helped your generation create a powerful foundation for the further development of the fire and rescue service in the republic.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished active and retired employees of the Emergencies Ministry good health, well-being and peace. “Take care of yourselves, your loved ones and our dear Belarus!” added the head of state.
Festive events dedicated to the 170th anniversary of Belarus' fire service were held in Minsk. On the site near the Sports Palace Minskers saw a parade of retro and modern fire vehicles, units of the Emergencies Ministry, veterans, athletes, representatives of the voluntary fire society, young rescuers-firefighters and a combined orchestra who marched along Pobeditelei Avenue from Freedom Square to the Sports Palace.
The governments of Belarus and Russia should draw up an economic plan relying on the countries' own forces, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on 23 July, BelTA has learned.
"As for the economy, I would like to suggest that our governments think through some kind of economic plan. The point is self-reliance. We will not kowtow to anyone. We have got brains. Resources are more than enough. We need a plan for the development of our Fatherland. As I say: two states, one Fatherland. We can do it. The main forces have been here, in Russia, since old times. It will be good if our governments come up with such a plan," the head of state said.
"Even if things are a little worse off, people will understand and support us. Because there will be the light at the end of the tunnel," the Belarusian leader said.
The countries have already begun to work in this direction, advancing cooperation in all areas, including in microelectronics, space, and agriculture. "We see good results everywhere. So we need to put everything together into a plan, appoint people in charge. Thus we will do our job strategically," the Belarusian president said.
Minsk Oblast's example of how a dairy complex should be built will be adopted across the entire country. Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo mentioned it during a conference held at premises of the newly built dairy complex Bolshiye Novoselki of Borisov Bread Products Company, BelTA has learned.
Igor Brylo noted: “Borisov Bread Products Company could have built a more expensive complex but they came up with the optimal variant that we are going to adopt across the entire country. It is the cheapest variant with the newest equipment. One cattle stall here costs slightly more than Br10,000.”
According to the agriculture and food minister, the entire complex for 800 head of milking herd cost slightly more than Br8 million thanks to the availability of the company's in-house civil engineering division. The complex was commissioned within ten months while the standard construction time is 15 months. “It is important that the agricultural enterprise has plenty of cattle and heifers have already been placed in one of the barns. The complex will be packed with animals soon and will start operating at full designed capacity,” the official added.
Over 1,500 dairy complexes operate in Belarus. Tie-up housing is used to keep cattle at another 1,717 farms. This is why it is necessary to decrease the number of the old farms as much as possible within the next five years because modern complexes can produce about 7.5 tonnes of milk per cow per annum, Igor Brylo noted.
Igor Brylo went on saying: “We intend to commission about 100 complexes across all regions per year in order to transition the milking herd to new technologies.”
The agriculture and food minister also noted that this year harvest varies from region to region. Minsk Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast have been affected by the drought particularly badly. Some regions will get as much harvest as they did last year. “We estimate the harvest shortage at about 1 million tonnes in granary weight terms. However, we have about 1 million tonnes in leftovers from previous years. This year's yield is slightly lower but we shouldn't worry: we will do our best to feed cattle and put bread on people's tables,” Igor Brylo concluded.

For centuries, Belarusians and Belgians have defended their right to live and develop in an independent state, the Belarusian leader noted. "In recent decades, our countries have been actively expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in trade, economy and humanitarian matters, which contributed to the prosperity and development of both peoples," the message reads. "Unfortunately, due to the short-sighted policy of the European Union towards Belarus, the relations between our countries are going through a difficult phase now."
The head of state expressed confidence that the speedy abandonment of the policy of confrontation and the joint search for ways to resolve contradictions will contribute to the restoration of peace on the European continent.
Aleksandr Lukashenko reaffirmed Belarus' commitment to deepening mutually respectful partnerships with Belgium in all areas, and wished the people of the kingdom health, harmony and prosperity.

Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich held a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum 2023 under the auspices of ECOSOC at the UN headquarters in New York, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Yuri Ambrazevich met with UN Secretary General's Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict Virginia Gamba. The parties discussed international and regional security in the context of the conflict in Ukraine and its impact on the situation of children. Yuri Ambrazevich reaffirmed Belarus' commitment to ensuring protection, safety and well-being of children and expressed the interest of the Belarusian government in achieving concrete results in the interests of children affected by armed conflicts. He spoke about recuperation programs at Belarus' health camps for children living in war zones ," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
The Belarusian deputy minister of foreign affairs invited the special representative to visit Belarus and assured her of Belarus' readiness to strengthen cooperation with her office in order to comply with the principle of ensuring the best interests of the child.
The Belarusian diplomat also met with UN Assistant Secretary General for Human Rights - Head of the UN Human Rights Office in New York Ilze Brands Kehris to discuss cooperation in the field of human rights. "The parties reviewed the cooperation with the UN, its representatives and mechanisms in the field of human rights, and examined the prospects for cooperation between Belarus and the UN High Rights Office. Belarus was praised for timely presentation of periodic reviews on the implementation of human rights conventions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted. "Yuri Ambrazevich also spoke about Belarus' track record of hosting children from foreign countries for health improvement purposes, including children from Ukraine."
Yuri Ambrazevich and UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua discussed Belarus' progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the context of unilateral economic measures by Western states. "Yuri Ambrazevich explained in detail the negative consequences of export restrictions on Belarusian potash fertilizers for global food security. An agreement was reached to consider the possibility of a visit by the UN Under-Secretary-General to Belarus for the national forum on the SDGs in 2024," the Foreign Ministry said.
Prospects for further cooperation in various areas, including sustainable development, and the international technical assistance projects in Belarus were high on the agenda of a meeting with Executive Director of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Olga Algayerova.
The current level of cooperation between Belarus and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and promising areas of cooperation with the Belarusian government were discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich and Director of UNICEF's Public Partnerships Division June Kunugi. Yuri Ambrazevich briefed the UNICEF representatives on the modalities of Belarus' recreation and rehabilitation programs for children from countries affected by hostilities and natural disasters and invited UNICEF to implement joint projects in this area.
