"In the first quarter, key indicators were fulfilled: in comparison with the same period of the previous year, the gross regional product in January-March increased by 5.8%, labor productivity by GRP - by 5.9%, exports of goods and services - by 16% , 6% and 38.2%, respectively, "Anatoly Isachenko said," But this does not in any way mean that we are all well and have no problems. "The overall figure is positive, although in the context it's not so good. There are constraints, but it is possible to solve the emerging problems: we must help each other and build the economy together. " p> Among the problematic issues he mentioned the low level of wages in Kopylsky, Lubansky and Volozhinsky districts, unstable work of the construction industry, reduction of the performance of the real sector of the economy, growth of unprofitable agricultural enterprises, increase in accounts receivable. p>
The number of unemployed in the region in the first quarter was 3,5 thousand people, which is 3,6 thousand less than in January-March last year. At the same time, the number of vacant jobs is also increasing: as of April 1, 2018, 10.7 thousand vacancies were offered in the region, which is 1.3 times more than a year ago. However, the chairman of the regional executive committee drew attention to the fact that the number of dismissed almost 1,5 thousand more than the number taken to work, and demanded to understand this issue. Stadler plans to invest additional €35 million in the development of its plant in Belarus, Chairman of the Board of Directors and owner of Stadler Rail Group Peter Spuhler told the media after the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 29 May, BelTA has learned.
“A few years ago we opened a plant in Faniol, not far from Minsk. It has operated successfully all this time. Our products are exported to Russia and other countries, including the countries of Western Europe. Given the good contracts that we have signed recently, good utilization of the plant, we are thinking about further expansion and investments,” Peter Spuhler noted.
Plans are in place to start the production of converters for trams and rolling stock, which will be also exported to Western European countries as separate products. The existing production of car bodies will be expanded up to 300 units. “In total, these two projects will require approximately €25 million in investment. In the future we want to expand the production of car bodies up to 450 units per year, which will require from €10 million to €12 million,” Peter Spuhler said.
Peter Spuhler stressed that the company is very pleased with the level of skills and work capacity of Belarusian specialists. “I can advise all western investors to take advantage of this. We have built the plant in Belarus virtually from scratch, infused it with advanced western technologies. In a relatively short period of time it has grown to be able to compete virtually on equal footing with our other production facilities worldwide,” Peter Spuhler noted.
For example, Stadler recently won a tender to supply trams for the city of Cochabamba in Bolivia. The whole batch will be produced by the Stadler plant in Fanipol. “We have had orders from Russia, Western Europe, but we have not yet supplied anything to Latin America,” Peter Spuhler noted.
He also talked about possible geography of deliveries and commented on the situation with the order from the Russian Aeroexpress company. “We had a contract to supply 24 trains. Two of them (prototypes) were produced in Switzerland and the rest at the plant in Fanipol. Due to the economic recession that happened in the midst of the contract, the customer experienced difficulties with the payment for the contract and reduced the order to 11 trains. Together with the banks who financed the contract, and the insurance companies we found a suitable solution to that problem. We sold nine trains from that order to Azerbaijan and four trains to Georgia,” Peter Spuhler said.
“We have settled this issue in full. We did not lose money on that order. Aeroexpress is happy with the project. The capacity utilization of the trains which are already in use reaches 98%. We continue talks with Aeroexpress. Perhaps, there will be another batch. It is important to meet clients halfway in case of force majeure and crises in order to seek a way out together,” Peter Spuhler said.
Speaking about the potential geography of supplies of the products made in Belarus, he named the markets of the CIS countries and the Eurasian Economic Union. These are also the states of Central Europe. Distant countries such as Latin America are also on the radar. “I think that we, as a company, and Belarus in general can be proud of keeping an equal footing in global competition,” Peter Spuhler said.
Until June 7, employees of the Belarusian highway meet with schoolchildren in educational institutions and children's health camps located in close proximity to the railway, conduct explanatory and preventive talks. Also scheduled raids, special attention in them will be given to children and adolescents who are unattended by adults near railroad tracks, at stations, stations and trains, write "Puhavitskia Naviny".
It is aimed at prevention of cases of non-productive injuries

“As for our expectations from the park, we plan to complete the development of the first phase of 850 hectares by 2021. By 2021 we expect the following results: about $1 billion of accumulated investment since the establishment of the park, 100 residents, manufactured products to the total tune of at least $1 billion, and about 7,000 additional jobs,” said Andrei Kobyakov. With geographical advantages and logistics development in mind, the park will help optimize transit cargo flows from China to the EU and will also promote trade with China.
Thus, the park will confirm its status as an international project, representing a hub along the Chinese-European cross-border corridor of the Belt and Road initiative. “In the development of the park, we focus not only on trade and logistics, although this is an important component of the project, but also on innovation and the development of joint high-tech industries. We prioritize advanced technologies, high value added products, their importance and competitiveness,” the prime minister said.
Currently, there are 34 residents in the Great Stone. The park has Belarusian, Chinese, Russian, American, European and Israeli capital. The total volume of planned investments by existing residents is estimated at $0.5 billion.

BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ holding company, plans to start supplies of haulers to the Philippines, BelTA learned from the website of the company.
“Coming to the Philippine market has become possible due to an effective policy of equipment promotion and systematic work of the dealer in this south-eastern region, BELAZIA PTE. LTD., which has been representing the interests of the plant since 2011,” the report said.
When choosing a model of a hauler for the Philippines, it was considered that these vehicles would be used to transport limestone for the CEMEX corporation, one of the world's largest cement producers. The Belarusian company is assembling six BelAZ-7555V vehicles with a load capacity of 55 tonnes and an expanded platform, multi-disc oil-cooled brakes, and additional fuel filters.
The Philippines will become the 78th country, which BelAZ has been cooperating with.
BelAZ is the world's top manufacturer of haul trucks with a large and extremely large payload capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in mining and construction. In 2017, BelAZ was ranked second among the manufacturers of haul trucks in terms of heavy-duty truck exports.
