The fourth military-historical festival "The Vygonoschanska Forte", dedicated to the memory of the victims of the First World War, will be held July 14 in Ivatsevichi district, BelTA learned from the organizers. p>
The main emphasis during the military-historical reconstruction will be made on the events of a hundred years ago, which took place on the territory of the Oginsky Canal. The audience will see episodes of the battles of the summer of 1917: fragments of positional warfare, timid attempts of counterattacks by the Russian army, trench soldiers' life, the struggle of assault groups, chemical attacks. The scenes of the collapse of the Western Front, the departure of the Kaiser units from Belarus, the beginning of the civil war will be shown. P>
"We plan a long enough scenario, for an hour, and maybe more." We will not show large-scale offensives: mostly secrets, patrols, fraternisation, but in the current scenario there will be their chips. "Fortification of Brest" Andrei Vorobey. P>

For the first time to recreate this dramatic episode of the First World Festival, a group of reenactors from St. Petersburg will come to the festival. Reconstruction will take place in the natural scenery of a complex of fortification structures - pillboxes, blockhouses, dugouts. In the vicinities of the Vygonoshchi village, more than a hundred reinforced concrete and earthen buildings of the First World War survived. "It was the most fortified knot of German defense in the territory of the Brest region." It was not accidental that it was called "Vygonoshchansky bridgehead." There were preserved large fragments of the original structures-sapas, they were called "wormholes." They were drilled under enemy defenses, huge shells and exploded. Some of the saps were used as retractable units of firing points. There have been preserved geranium shelters, built in the conditions of military operations, "- said the deputy director of Polessky agrarian-ecologist Victor Demyanchik. p>

Because of the heat in the Minsk region, about 40 thousand hectares of grain crops were damaged, BelTA learned from Sergey Primachenko, deputy chairman of the committee on agriculture and foodstuffs of the regional executive committee. p> Grain crops were mainly affected: winter crops - on an area of more than 30 thousand hectares, spring crops - about 8 thousand hectares, as well as drought damaged up to 3 thousand hectares of flax.Frosts negatively affected the crops of maize and potatoes: about 5 thousand .ha and 600 hectares respectively, "- said Sergei Primachenko. p>
In the main affected areas with light soils. In particular, damage was inflicted to crops in Lubansk, Starodorozhsk, Soligorsk, Slutsk, Berezinsky and Volozhinsky districts. "Oddly enough, the Nesvizh region, where there is a high content of humus in the soil, was also affected by the moisture deficit: in May, only 17% of the precipitation rate fell," he explained. P>
Given the current situation, it is obvious that grain losses will amount to 30%, flax - up to 35%. In the Minsk region, 23 initiatives have been implemented for the EU / UNDP project "Facilitation of local development in the Republic of Belarus" from 2016 to 2018. This was announced by Deputy Permanent Representative of UNDP in Belarus Zachary Taylor at a conference on the results of the project, BelTA has learned. P>
"The Minsk region has implemented 23 initiatives, based on the principle of maximum participation, so a large number of people were involved who were not used to working together: they were representatives of local authorities, members of public organizations, and local people. It takes time for them to learn how to work with each other, but this type of initiative is the most sustainable in the long term, "said Zachary Taylor. P>
The largest number of initiatives was aimed at the development of tourism and infrastructure in the region - 30% and 26% of the total, respectively. Projects have also been implemented in the fields of education, economics, social services, health and culture. Zachary Taylor noted, in particular, the public significance of the project to help people with alcohol dependence. "The social action group worked with this category of population and people who have never formally participated in the regional economy could join the labor market, get support, become productive members of society and began to produce their goods," he said. P>
The purpose of the project "Promoting local development in the Republic of Belarus" is to create conditions for joint efforts and forging partnerships between authorities and civic initiatives for the development of the regions, taking into account their unique characteristics. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Belarus. New cancer screening projects of different localizations will supplement the program for combating cancer in Belarus. This was announced today by the director of the RNPC of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Alexandrov doctor of medical sciences professor Oleg Sukonko, the correspondent of BelTA reports. P>
In the country there is an increase in oncological diseases, more than 50 thousand new patients are diagnosed every year. "When cancer is detected in stage 4, patients live no more than 3 years, even with the use of ultramodern methods of treatment. "These patients account for 70% of the cost of oncology," said Oleg Sukonko, "Today in Belarus, about 60% of patients are diagnosed in the first and second stages of oncology, which should be increased. detection of disease - ud wish to set up the kind of attention the last five years. " p>
The first project involves the detection of lung cancer using low-dose computed tomography, which is more effective at an early stage than fluorography. This is an uneasy and expensive method that has already been implemented in the Minsk Regional TB Dispensary. The second project, which is still under preparation, concerns the screening of the oropharyngeal cancer. Even with external location - on the gum, tongue, in the larynx - a high percentage of mortality, but for early detection of the disease does not require a lot of investment, the main thing - to train specialists. "With cancer of the ovaries, the percentage of neglect is extremely high, as in case of bowel cancer." When diagnosed at the third and fourth stages, the treatment is hard and expensive, and the patients live on average about three years, "added Oleg Sukonko. Prepares for the launch and screening of skin melanoma. With external location mortality is also high enough because of late detection. P>
"After the launch of these projects, we are counting on a notable result." We are completely restructuring the system of work in oncology, "said the director of the Republican Scientific and Technical Center. p>
Screening is a scientifically grounded way to detect a malignant tumor in patients without symptoms: a systematic examination is conducted among a group of healthy people. Now the screening program in Belarus includes the detection of cancer of the cervix, breast, thick and rectum and prostate. P>
"Men have the first place in terms of the number of cases of prostate cancer detected, in women - breast cancer, and in both sexes - a catastrophe for bowel cancer, in women it is in second place, and in men for third in mortality. 60% of patients are identified at the third-fourth stage, "Oleg Sukonko noted. And this despite the fact that screening centers are being built, an early detection system with state funding and personnel, software is being established. Therefore, it is so important to accustom the population to the fact that it is normal to be examined once a year (not only for oncological diseases, but complexly). P>
